I believe that natural remedies are the only way to truly heal oneself. However, for so many reasons, we have been without super fresh, ventilation dried, organically grown, herbal plant medicine that all “medicine” was originally founded on. I have learned through experience that the only way to truly heal oneself or maintain a healthy lifestyle is through such natural remedies. As a result, we have planted some 50 different medicinal plants on the farm. The diversity of such plants allows one to tap into their own systems from so many different perspectives. In other words, we have tools in our body that have become dormant or numb because of our lifestyle, eating habits or environment. However, this does not have to be the case. As we are exposed to so many different medicinal herbs, our awareness of ourselves and our innate skills increase. It’s like traveling to another country and experiencing new foods, new spices and new language. All the sudden you awaken to a completely new way of life. The same is true with the herbs. The more diversity of herbal medicine, the more broad awakening of our internal system is likely to occur. Through the healing of myself as well as the healing of my young family on a day to day basis, I believe ALL illness can be cured and maintained through natural herbal remedies. Your health is a function of your “holistic” being, not individual hormones or organs, which only takes into consideration the physical self. The herbs, among other things, calm the nervous system and breath, while increasing circulation, improving digestion and raising your self-awareness. This timeless approach takes into consideration your mental, physical and spiritual health and is what is referred to as Holistic Health. That being said, the act of drinking herbal tea is one that dates back thousands of years in Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine. We certainly did not invent anything here. It is tried and true. However, ideally, it is a committed lifestyle and not a treatment that is used to combat illness. The process of using herbal medicine to combat poor lifestyle choices is not an easy one. In other words, our herbs are not magic. If one is sick or unhealthy, the process of healing oneself through herbal medicine requires commitment and will power; and as the toxins and cancers are broken up and eventually leave the body, the potential for optimal health and balance is possible at any age. However, the experience will not be pain free, but will be “side effect” free.
