Description
Lemongrass, Cymbopogon citratus Lemongrass grows in dense clumps, with a thick base that is easy to propagate. Its leaves are bright green with sharp edges and can grow to about 3 feet tall. It grows well in a tropical climate that gets a lot of rain and has sandy rich soils. It is native to Southern India and Sri Lanka and is a popular ingredient in South Eastern Asian cuisine.
