Macadamia Nuts

Macadamia Nuts

Macadamia integrifolia

Macadamia , Macadamia integrifolia Macadamia nuts are grown on a medium-sized tree in the tropical regions of Australia, Brazil, Indonesia, Kenya, New Zealand, South Africa, and Hawaii. Though Australia is the world's most well-known producer of Macadamia nuts, Hawaii is acclaimed for producing the most delicious. They were introduced to Hawaii in 1881 by W.H. Purvis, but remained a coveted oddity for 50 years before large-scale production was initiated. While it is now a staple of the Hawaiian experience, it is still considered a delicacy. Macadamia nuts are considered the most divine nut in the world. They are buttery and sweet in taste, while smooth, creamy and crunchy in texture. They are highly valued in their medicinal nature, providing nutrients and support for healthy living. Macadamia nuts are rich in healthy monounsaturated fats and amino acids, which are the building blocks for the endocrine system and also integral nutrients for a vital body. These healthy fats feed the brain and actually promote weight loss by reducing cravings for unhealthy fats. Macadamia nuts are also high in protein, fiber and micronutrients that contribute to proper digestive function and bone, tissue and cellular health. In addition, they contain considerable amounts of oleic, palmitoleic, linoleic and essential fatty acids that provide deep nourishment, hydration and structure to our bodies.
